The Aspire Long Boxer Brief does have a higher rise profile compared to some of our other styles, which is part of the design to provide that longer coverage through the torso. We totally understand that the waistband placement isn't going to hit the sweet spot for everyone though, as rise preference is really personal and depends on your torso proportions and where you prefer things to sit. Your feedback on the waistband height is helpful as we think about the rise balance across different styles in the Aspire line. If you're open to trying a different cut, some of our other boxer briefs have a lower rise that might give you that same comfort and performance but with the waistband positioning that feels more natural for you.

Aspire is built with a very adaptive, second-skin feel, so it tends to wear closer to the body than traditional underwear. The fabric is designed to respond to heat and movement and mold to your shape, which is what creates that “zero-feel” experience, but it can also make a medium feel more dialed-in if you’re used to a bit more room . In your case, moving up to a large would likely give you that extra ease without losing the support or structure. If you do try the large, one small tip is to take a second when putting them on to fully set the fabric in place. With Tru-fit Technology, once it warms up and settles, it tends to relax into a more natural fit rather than feeling restrictive. On the waistband: what you’re experiencing can happen with Tru-fit Technology, since it’s designed to be ultra-thin and heat-reactive rather than using traditional elastic.
